Director of Community Development & Marketing, Turning Point, SOC ROLE Overview:
The Director of Community Development & Marketing serves as the Turning Point senior leader who champions effective fundraising, recovery events, marketing & public relations performance.
This role not only is responsible for the general fundraising and community development of the organization, but also involves supporting the marketing and events of various Turning Point programs.
This position will contribute to the development of the strategic plan, operational goals, and the quality and financial management of the organization.
Director will work collaboratively to ensure alignment of services provided by Turning Point, SOC to meet the needs of our community.
REQUIRED
Experience:
One to three years significant community development & marketing leadership position(s).
Preferred experience in the mental health/addiction behavioral health field.
Past experience in business administration and in working closely with partnerships and community leaders.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or a related administrative field.
REQUIRED LICENSE:
None.
PREREQUISITE SKILLS:
Use strong communication (both written and verbal), leadership and time management skills Proficient with the use of computers and software programs used in business administration At least two years of experience in an community development/marketing position in a major corporation or industry Critical thinking, interpersonal and problem-solving skills Demonstrated leadership skills in past positions consistent with and necessary to carry out the Mission and leadership philosophy of Turning Point.
Must possess cohesive team building skills, business/administration skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.

Essential Functions:
The following functions describe the essential duties of this role.
Individuals in this role may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.
Oversees the promotion and advertising efforts to build brand awareness and recovery support sustainability.
Develop an overall marketing plan including campaigns/fundraising events and measuring the return on investment.
Review current marketing (digital & non-digital) trends and advertisements to determine digital media the effectiveness of different styles and promotion strategies.
Work with both service program departments to develop successful strategies and campaigns that attract new customers and keep current clients.
Make monthly presentations to the Board of Directors.
Contributes to the development and implementation of strategic planning for Turning Point that at a minimum, addresses mission, staff development issues, charity care, access, quality improvement, financial performance, market assessment, and general policy and procedures.
In collaboration with Turning Point leadership, works to achieve strategic plan objectives and budget targets to ensure financial performance consistent with long term sustainability.
Be knowledgeable of mission integration, organizational development, cost reimbursement, etc.
trends and their ramifications upon services offered by Turning Point.
Utilizes and ensures continuous quality improvement philosophies, techniques, and tools in all aspects of the position that are consistent with the mission of Turning Point Job Type:
