The technician is responsible for installation, start-up, troubleshooting, training, and field technical support.
This will involve traveling to customer sites to troubleshoot/repair technical issues while exhibiting excellent customer service skills.
Technicians are also involved in new projects in the development cycle.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Travel required 50-75%.
Troubleshoot and repair field issues and returned materials.
Troubleshoot quality issues and help conduct root cause analysis of field issues Manage equipment needed to support the service and warranty of the motive power batteries.
Track and document all field related issues (i.
e.
, trip reports, call log) Adhere to all safety rules and maintain quality housekeeping in work area Manage all required on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
Work with dealers via phone and email to mitigate field issues including weekends on call.
Build positive relationships with customers and dealers, represent company positively in all interactions.
Determine customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations when necessary.
Provide feedback on field issues to product development to continually focus on improving quality.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when necessary on an ad-hoc basis.
Follow all company procedures and protocols.
Qualifications and Skills Ability and willing to travel 50 - 75% of the time.
Technical degree or certification preferred or equivalent experience in field service will also be considered.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
Proven ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
Experience in failure analysis and corrective action implementations.
Experience in product manufacturing and production operations.
Knowledge of industrial processes and battery power system manufacturing techniques preferred.
Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities.
Proven ability to be responsible for all aspects of position with minimal supervision.
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
